teknics 07-01-2005 05:27 PM

today was definitely a horrible day.

one of the worst parts was when i had to do an alignment on some 80's pontiac or some ****, ******* tierods were so corroded i couldnt see any threads or anything, but they didnt wanna buy inner or outer tierods, so what do we do? have ******* kevin fix it. so there i am sitting with the ******* torch, a 3/4 wrench and a vise grip, took me like an hour and a half, maybe 2 hours, but i finally got the bitch to move, and aligned woo.

After that, like 3 alignments came in, all fords...they all needed balljoints so i didnt have to align them, i just told them they needed balljoints and its useless to align the truck with bad balljoints.

It sucks tho cause they all made appointments for next week, so i have to do 12 balljoints (both upper and lowers on both sides, on every car). THen i have to align them.

Oh and then at around 4:30 (i leave at 6pm, i start at 7am) a ******* 02 Subaru forester comes in for ******* front struts, i almost lost my cool when they told me i had to do it before i left. Everything went good, at around 5:15-ish i start aligning it....sunuvabitch r/f strut had BARELY enough adjustment to get the camber in spec so i got two guys pulling the bottom of the tire out while im trying to tighten the strut, with it jacked up on ther ack. So im like hugging the goddamn jack holding a wrench in one hand, an air gun in the other, and ******* dying from the heat of the engine and the 100% humidity (no a/c).

oh and when i was using the torch, dumbass me touch the tierod and melted the tip of my finger.

yes my day sucked, and it lasted way too long. I did however make about 18 flat rate hours, if not more, in the 11 hours i worked so it will pay off https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

venomrx7 07-01-2005 11:25 PM

hmm lets see.

work starts at 5:30 because one of our customers is a nwe golf course under construction and they need new equipment delivered by 6:30. so I get to assemble crank and tune a backpack blower, a brushcutter and a chainsaw in about 20 minutes, load them up in the boss's truck (mine's still in the shop) and take off to the middle of nowhere.

get back at about 7:15, and get attacked by customers. I think they dropped off 27 units for repair today and we lost our third shop man a couple weeks ago. ****. so between me and my dad we got to fix as many units as possible, fix hydraulic hoses almost constantly, unload an oil truck with 54 5 gallon buckets of hydraulic oil, 36 6 gallon cases of motor oil, 12 12 quart boxes of motor oil and various other things. in the damn rain. back to workingo n equipment. rip my knuckle open on a broken flywheel, work the register for an hour....

I need to post a pic of our shop right now... its full to the top with equipment.

Its nice being the largest Stihl dealer in the region, but sometimes it gets to be almost more than we can handle. today was one of those days. I didn't get home till 7:30. that is a long ass work day with very few brakes, and being on my feet the whole time.

venomrx7 07-01-2005 11:27 PM

I need to get ******* drunk and have sex with some questionable random hoe. i think it would do me some good.

Portland, Oregon. I am planning on attending Sevenstock, but I realize it would be one hell of a trip for you to attend...

jackboots 07-02-2005 11:59 AM

I personally destroyed a 40 of Mickeys, followed by 6 San Lucas Lagers. I had a serious case of the Milwaukee Morning Thunder when I woke up. Oh god my bunshole is still burning and I really just want to sleep. I hate working saturdays...

Thanks for the compliments! I think your are in pretty good hads having Rob do your ride.

Three months gonna be enough time to get it together for Sevenstock this year?

I would like to drive it to Rotorfest, but I just couldn't put off the work to make time to do it, maybe next year. Sevenstock should be do-able though, barring any catastophies like last year (close friend passing away).

Grey goose is not a cheap bottle, well, neither is Crown but that's the stuff I throw back when a day turns to ****.

grey goose is a pretty penny.

I still have to get a hold of kahren to port my motor, then send it out for 3-4 weeks to get ceramic coated. 3 months is possible, if i hustle my ass off, even then i dunno if itd be tuned enough to drive it cross country.

meh maybe ill just drive out to oregon for some smaller meet or something, or just wait till next year https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png.

we shall see how it develops.

thats why i can complain about my job, yet not really give a **** cause it pays off https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
