I wouldn't mind if my mom took my car, although she wouldn't without asking, and probably wouldn't even consider it as an option.

rbrtech 07-10-2003 03:02 PM

chill let your mom have a good time as long as she wouldnt drive mine

94touring 07-10-2003 03:02 PM

I never let anyone drive my FD, I had the only set of keys and no one knew where they were.

banzaitoyota 07-10-2003 03:04 PM

Well, guess it is high time for you to cut the umbilical cord and MOVE THE **** OUT OF MOMMIE AND DADDIES HOUSE! Then YOU can impose whatever rules you like about your possesions

TYSON 07-10-2003 03:06 PM

Why would someone purposely take an FD for groceries?

Where would you put them?

Or am I the only one who shops in the bulk aisle?

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:06 PM

Pull in umbilical cord.. haha funny.. rules.. they have no rules.

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:07 PM

She put them all in the hatch. Damnit.asgdasgawegadg

bwahahah...

Well why did you leave the keys out???

I have let friends drive, that own manual cars. I believe I will let more ppl drive. If my friend would have never let me drive his 10ae, my gtu will still be n/a....

No one drives it w/o me tho....And never will.....

rfreeman27 07-10-2003 03:10 PM

calm down. Can she drive well? If it was some frend of mine that just decicded to drive my car i would be pissed off!

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:11 PM

Well I left my spare keys in the clear. I know I'm probably just acting like a dumbass, but for some reason that **** really pisses me off.

TYSON 07-10-2003 03:11 PM

Man, I can't wait till I can get my dad behind the wheel of my car. We'll have a blast! I can't remember him driving a CAR, EVER! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/v2.gif Only trucks and vans. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/v1.gif

Mom can't drive, but even when she could she wasn't too good at it. Tended to hit things and drive off the road a LITTLE too often. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

UniqueTII 07-10-2003 03:12 PM

My mom shifted at 8000 when she first drove my TII.

"What's that buzzing noise?"

"SHIFT!!!"

banzaitoyota 07-10-2003 03:12 PM

Ask yourself this question: Could you afford the FD if you didn't live at home? Get a grip, its a car.

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:13 PM

Well, she did give me my n/a.. but big damn deal. so, i guess she can drive decent. Though I don't trust her at all with it.

94touring 07-10-2003 03:14 PM

I can just see it now on tonights news on msnbc: Boy goes crazy after mom drives car, kills entire family in a mad shootout. Attornies claim the movie matrix 2 inspired his rage. He only prefers to be called by the named Neil.

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:14 PM

Yea, I prob. couldn't afford it, but still.. to me, right now, it's not just a car..

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:15 PM

ahhh ahhh.. don't,., make.,., me,.., angry. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

UniqueTII 07-10-2003 03:17 PM

To paraphrase nocab's sig, "It's just a car. You act like she killed your mom."

Okay, so I'm probably the only one who finds that amusing.

Baldy 07-10-2003 03:25 PM

heck, I'd let lots of people drive my car, assuming I know they can handle a stick. I'd be happy to see it damaged, knowing that they would have to pay for it, and I would be able to get new parts, or rebuild my motor! yay!

and honestly, I don't think anyone would abuse it as much as i do. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

my wife always shifts at like 3.5k-4k, it annoys me. I like the buzzer.

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:26 PM

I wouldn't kill my mom.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png yet..

That's exactly how I feel. Except for maybe missing a shift, I don't see how anyone could put more strain on my car than I do.

I like to let girls drive my car to see how they react when the turbo spools. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

I like to think of the buzzer as:

YOU GOT TONE! SHIFT!!!!!!

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:27 PM

lol, I like the buzzer too, but damn.. I've never even drove her around in the car to see how she responds to it.. let alone her drive it alone..

Baldy 07-10-2003 03:30 PM

plus my wife bought my car for me, so if she wanted to try rally racing in it, I would just go https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

rx7machine 07-10-2003 03:31 PM

Rally racing.. damn, makes me wonder if my mom really even went to the grocery store..

Like the Ferrari Replica in "Ferris Buelller's Day Off"?

AgentSpeed 07-10-2003 03:40 PM

Well my ex-wife wrecked my 300ZX TT the second time she drove it. I was even in the car too. I can see it still like it was yesterday! Only my best friend drives my FD. He is more protective over cars than I am. He's also the only other person that has a key to my house besides my mom. As for my mom, I still remember a story of when she wrecked in the rain about 23 years ago. I was 2 and my brother 6, she lost control speeding in the rain on the interstate. She said that she just layed down over my brother and myself and just prayed. She hit about three other cars, on both sides of the interstate. Needless to say that still haunts me when she drives! Now thankfully she drives like she's 80!!!
