39.7gigs containing 8729 files in 240 folders

I cheated though- I dumped a whole portable hard drive that someone I know had into the other 80gig drive on my computer.

I have like 30gigs on my other computer Im going to transfer here as well.

Goal is to play it all thru the house stereo using a device like Microsoft Media Center.

GreyGT-C 01-10-2005 08:05 AM

i had 47G of it on my laptop until i ran out of space... but i just have 95% of it archived on DVD now.

Rob x-7 01-10-2005 08:09 AM

it was sooooooooo easy to get shitloads of music back when Audiogalaxy was around and you joined a few groups, turned on your computer and in a few minutes you had 10 new songs already downloaded!

as long as you werent stupid enough to open the trojan viruses that always ended up getting sent out, lol

phinsup 01-10-2005 08:31 AM

I dropped my whole 200 cd changer onto a server and am running the wireless media link from linksys, which works with music match rather then windows media connect... pretty toight.

I'd say I have about 30 gigs or so worth of tunes at this point.

back to work

rowtareh 01-10-2005 11:26 AM

1198 total files. dunno how many gigs. under 2 gb's i suppose.

oh, and this was all downloaded using dial up connections!

Dysfnctnl85 01-10-2005 11:43 AM

I have about 60GB of music.

Baldy 01-10-2005 11:59 AM

I'm old fashioned, I just use cds. But I don't buy them, I just get them as gifts. I mostly listen to music in the car, not much at work or home, so it's no big deal.

Seppuku 01-10-2005 04:38 PM

I need more music im running out of things to listen too! Of course the verts cursed and i can never keep a stereo in it for long. Time to put another one in it again so i can listen to the radio at least.

ambassador_josh 01-11-2005 06:01 AM

I honestly cant think of anything else I'd like to listen to. Every artist that I've ever liked, even if its just for one or two songs, I've downloaded everything in their discography. After I got the studio releases, I worked on the live stuff an bootlegs. I branched out, using cdnows album advisor (I love how they make this so easy!) just type in a couple of bands you like, and they show you similar stuff. But I've pretty much come to the end of the mp3 thing.

I checked out that linksys thing, I was checking into the Microsoft or other devices because you can not only listen to MP3s, but you can listen to internet radio and view your pictures as well if they also connect to the television, you can even use it like a Tivo.
