Ok, don't laugh. I made my aifilter to turbo piping out of PVC drain pipe. It was only in there a few weeks. No problems with it melting or cracking, but everyone laughed at me when I poped the hood so I went to stainless.

hmmm....LOTS of stuff on my 7 is "Home Depot"...except we don't have a home depot. It's called the monkey store(big black monkey is their logo). My radiator is held in place by bracketing that was fabricated/welded to make the radiator sit. Also, my engine torque brace was home depot'd.

And as far as people laughing at whats under my hood. ****'em, I say! I'm the one who's usually laughing in the end, right after I've waxed 'em by several car lengths with a car that cost $3000-$8000 less than theirs. |
I just today fabricated a custom ram air intake for my 83 GSL from that PVC piping, it kicks ass https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

i once used a flexible plastic gutter drain tube as a CAI. it fit perfect in the factory hole where the original was(gslse). dont know if it made a difference, prob not.
|
There is more Monkey store going on in this picture than you can possibly imagine...
