I like to use the flat aluminum bars for mounting things.

Ok, don't laugh. I made my aifilter to turbo piping out of PVC drain pipe. It was only in there a few weeks. No problems with it melting or cracking, but everyone laughed at me when I poped the hood so I went to stainless.

Don't worry. I've seen alot of people use that. I once saw a guy use a cardboard wrapping paper tube. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

My boost controller and TID are from Home Depot Racing.

SoRRoW 08-17-2002 06:30 AM

My brass fitting off of my fuel pump..and my home made gauge holder off of my regulator is from Home Depot racing

jspecracer7 08-19-2002 04:16 AM

hmmm....LOTS of stuff on my 7 is "Home Depot"...except we don't have a home depot. It's called the monkey store(big black monkey is their logo). My radiator is held in place by bracketing that was fabricated/welded to make the radiator sit. Also, my engine torque brace was home depot'd.

Show pics of your engine brace...I know racingBeat sells them but its not the same as a strut bar right?

I have the HD boost controller, intake (extra ghetto), and intercooler sprayer. Pretty soon I'll have the HD torque brace.

My Home Depot stuff isn't ghetto, it's "custom".

And as far as people laughing at whats under my hood. ****'em, I say!

I'm the one who's usually laughing in the end, right after I've waxed 'em by several car lengths with a car that cost $3000-$8000 less than theirs.

I just today fabricated a custom ram air intake for my 83 GSL from that PVC piping, it kicks ass https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

i once used a flexible plastic gutter drain tube as a CAI. it fit perfect in the factory hole where the original was(gslse). dont know if it made a difference, prob not.

There is more Monkey store going on in this picture than you can possibly imagine...

UniqueTII 10-08-2002 06:23 PM

Rutt 10-17-2002 02:14 AM

jspec and Igy should buy stock in Sunsea and Makeman. Because their cars are loaded with bolts, l-brackets and tie straps from those stores!!
