best piece of advice for driving on the parkway in NJ. Its called the ******* rule. Find the biggest ******* on the road and follow him cause the cops will see him first. I was just drivin home from the shore and followed a vette doin 85-90mph for 50 miles https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

FDRacing 05-22-2004 01:45 AM

me and my dad did just under 100mph in his vette going to trenton once because the ******* we were keeping pace with was a stateboy.

my dad just kept a lil distance and he let us do it all the way up. Cool cops rock.

one time on parkway north around the rahway exit and this car was hauling ass, and i was already doing 85. Found out it was a cop and it was tailgating me. I let go of the gas til i got to 70 and moved to the other lane. Luckily the cop just passed me..... cool cops does rock.

It's actually called following and leading.

Sometimes theres as many as 4 - 5 cars all going the same speed, following eachother, but they don't know eachother outside of driving on the highway.

Guy in front always gets busted. If someone wants to lead going a wee bit over the limit, I'll follow. Usually so will someone else. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

It's is kind of hard to find the ******* when you don't live in NJ. All the drivers seem like assholes when you are from another state. I was out there in april and got cut off by some bitch who came from the right lane across the center and then infront of me.

UniqueTII 05-22-2004 07:00 AM

I got busted on the GSP racing a Viper the first weekend I had my TII. I was going just under 100 when I saw the cop and got a ticket for 76 in a 65...and didn't pay it. For $240 they can come out here and get me.

Now I just behave myself when I'm driving and I save a lot of money.

You see that all the time here, a group of 3-6 people either in high end luxury sedans or SUV's. The best is when you see a Mercedes Benz SUV fly by, followed by a BMW M5, being chased closely by a Escalade and a Jaguar X-type and than a couple seconds later, a honda with a huge wing zips by trying to keep up!

Hoooray NJ. Best state in the union.

-=RX-7 KID=- 05-22-2004 09:32 AM

Hey from what i can tell PA has the most relaxed driving laws of any state. So WoHoo PA is the best state to speed in. Personaly i think it sucks nutz in all other aspects.

my friend was behind a state tropper pacing him at 100mph. the cop didn't like it, so he slowed down to 35mph...lol, so my friend passed him and got a tint ticket and was told never to ******* do that again(not the pas part, the pacing part https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR).

venomrx7 05-22-2004 07:57 PM

whats really cool is to get behind military police, no jurisdiction on the road, but they haul ass, so I just follow

mississippi to pensacola in 1.5 hours is the best so far.

Eric Happy Meal 05-22-2004 08:00 PM

following them doesnt work... at least not around here. they just pull over the car in the back...

I did that for a Drag Racing ticket. BIG mistake. Go pay it now. Your driving with a suspended license and if you get pulled over your car can be impounded and you get thrown in jail.

Clean it up on your own accord. Its better than having your life turned upside down.

Tell me about it. I got pulled over 4 years ago for "racing on the highway" in Richmond Hill GA. went to court and everything, my lawyer didn't show up and I was told by judge that they would get in contact with my lawyer and reschedule.

well, in 2 years didn't hear another thing about it. so figured it was settled since it was bullshit that I got pulled over. (how the hell can you be racing on the highway when no one else is on the street that you are on?)

well, went to transfer my GA license over to FL, and found out GA has had my DL suspended since '01.

Luckily only had to pay 166.25 plus 35 to reinstate my DL

Wierd thing is, I was pulled over atleast 3 times since I moved down here, and thought they ran my DL everytime, but always came back with an ok on it. Hmm. wonder if they check nation wide or just in FL?

I think a state only runs your lic for that state.

treceb 05-25-2004 06:50 AM

sunday we were the assholes on the parkway.....lol

Ha true say.. Up here they are mostly friendly. Except on the QEW to Niagara, everyone is from ******* new york and nobodys car is equipped with turn signals.

1988RedT2 05-25-2004 08:07 AM

Sad news, but assholes are everywhere. We gots plenty down here in Virginny. I've driven up and down the GSP many a time, from the NJ-NY border to the Point Pleasant area, and it seems a lot like any other highway to me. Except for the damn toll booths. They still have the damn toll booths? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif
