I bought 180 shares of Ford stock 6 months ago on a tip from Rez. (TeamFc3s) I got it at $9 a share and then set an E-mail alert to tell me if it ever hits $13 a share. I forgot about the stock and never expected to get the e-mail alert. Welp I checked my e-mail a few minutes ago and got an alert. Its up to $13.10 a share!!! Right now I have made $738 off of it. I had promised myself I would sell if it ever hit $13. Its at a 52 week high right now. Not sure what to do. Should I put an order in to sell at $13 if it falls. Or do I ride it out? I am leaning towards waiting another 6 months. Although most all car companies tank in the 1st quarter.



I think I am going to unload it. and invest the $738 in Sprint PCS @ $4.40. I has seen as high as 7.xx a share and I think its heading back there.

Unless you are planning to hold it long term, I would sell it. I've been burned too many times hanging onto stock longer than I should have trying to make a few extra bucks. You've reached your goal, move on.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I will be crushed if it plumets. I will put in a sell order in the morning. Not too shabby though. I wish I could have got in on Nextel over the summer. It went from $5 to $25. I almost bought it and honstly the only thing that stopped me was being to busy to sit down and process the buy order online. Stupid me!! Next time I get a hunch **cough** PCS **cough** I am jumping on it.

Quit while you're ahead. Remember, you didn't have these 700 bucks before, and although it wouldn't be a big loss if the stock plunged back to 9 a share, it's still money you lost. Risking that money is just not worth it. Invest in Sprint, I am. Not only are they gonna go up, but their Walkie talkie service is in the works, so that should drive the competition mad.
