How long until these cars kick off the high idle? Mine seems to idle around 1500 rpm's for at least a half hour of solid driving, and then it eventually will go down to 750 - 800 rpm's. Is there a fix for this or is that normal? I just started driving the car everyday about a week ago.

It sounds like it could have something to do with the thermowax and fast idle cam.

That's just minor crap on the throttle body.

mine stay up at about 1k rpms for about 5-10 mins on cold days...half an hours sounds like a long time...like 13bace said, it shouldnt be a big deal...doesnt hurt the engine.

My car always idles at 1K, but that's because I have big injectors.

I have a pretty mild port, but my turbo makes up for it.
