He really ate it bad. A car pulled out in front of him. He swerved and hit a concrete pole. Neither him nor his G/F had on seat belts. That saved voth of them. She got thrown from the car and only was scratched up. He was in a coma and is awake now but a little screwed up. Hopefully all the pistons will start firing again. Every week he gets better.

Here is where it sucks. While he is fighting off a coma and death. The wrecker yard is busy stripping his car clean. This was not an ordinary WS-6. It was turbo charged and had over 10K of Audio Visual gear inside.

RWHP close to 700. His brother heard a rumor that is was being stripped and got it out of there. A lot of stuff is missing. He took a cop to the wrecker yard but everybody played dumb beacuse the cop knew the owner. They made off with some A/V gear and the intercooler. Believe it or not it survived the impact. The owners son was trying to sell the Turbo but the car was gone before he could pull it.

Here is another shot of it look closely and you can see whats left of the front right rim. Also the bar going across is all that is left of the door its the safety beam.

Here is the right rear rim.

That is too bad about the accident, and I hope your friend gets better soon.

But... wearing your seat belt is a lot safer than not wearing it. There may be instances where it is better to not have one on, but you don't get to choose after the impact, and it is usually far better to have the belt on. Perhaps even in this accident, your friend would not be in a coma if he had his belt on. Your message seems to be intended to encourage people to not wear their seatbelts or (more likely) justify your own refusal to use one. It is much safer to wear your seatbelt. Always wear your seatbelt.

damn that sux, hope he recovers fully

Jims5543 11-19-2002 07:58 PM

Police and Paramedics said his chest would have been caved in and neck snapped if it was on.

I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt. This is in no way to be interpreted as a dont wear your seatbelt thread.

This particular accident was a freak occurance where not wearing one saved lives.

His G/F would have been dead too. She was actually ejected through the open t-top and bounced down the sidewalk face first. She was screwed up to but in essence walked away.

****!

Ouch!!!! I don't think I would want to go bouncingdown the sidewalk on my face. I think his brother needs to sue the recker yard for the missing parts if he has proof that they were installed on the car. It's thier responsibility to ensure that the car stays untouched untill the owner or insurance company comes to get the car. Even if they weren'tstealingthe parts themselves they would still be liable for them. That **** is totally wrong. Guy's in a coma and some jackasses want to steal **** off his car. That **** pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
