A British military pilot who used an army helicopter to deliver a pizza to his girlfriend has been disciplined, the Ministry of Defense said Tuesday.
The Lynx helicopter (search) was on a map-reading training exercise in eastern England on Jan. 25 when it made a landing in the Stanford area, a Ministry of Defense spokesman said. "The pilot took it upon himself to basically deliver this pizza," the spokesman said. "He has been made aware that the chain of command doesn't condone his actions and has been disciplined." Ministry officials did not give release details of the punishment. |
HAHAHAHA... that wasn't me this time. We did make a few pizza runs while in Kuwait with our birds... we call them "training flights" https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

what does the fuel cost to do something like that?
|
on a CH47D Chinook they estimate it at about $6,000 an hour to operate. We didn't do the flights solely for pizza pickup......... was normally in conjunction with picking up parts for a broken bird or likewise.

Hah, touche. Because we were bored. It started out with them throwing **** at us, so we started throwing ice back at them, then we engaged in close quarter combat in an abondonned parking lot, then decided to get a bag of ice and take it further. Like I said it was hilarious for us and they have seen it and crack up, but for anyone else it's probably just stupid.
