Just heard today, wasn't a huge fan, but he was pretty funny.

I first saw him on TV as the Hippy Dippy Weatherman when I was just a wee lad. His humor has always made me laugh. His career has spanned decades--verily, even millennia. He was versatile, appealing to children and adults alike. As a father to two boys who enjoy the Thomas the Tank engine series, I found that he had applied his vocal talents as narrator of several Thomas episodes. I just now found that he also voiced the character "Fillmore" in the movie "Cars." A brilliant comic. A successful and enduring career. Sorry you had to go so soon. Thank you, George! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/bowdown.gif

Too profane? I never heard him swear in a single Thomas the Tank Engine episode!

Yes, yes. He enjoyed a reasonably long life and career, but he was still making people laugh, and still had something to offer. Too soon in my book.

I would.

The shortest sentence in the English language is "I am." The longest sentence is "I do." Sorry, I'm in the process of a divorce https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

Anyway I was saddened to hear this. I liked Carlin, and he definately was a revoloutionary comic.
