Parents just had their account passwords stolen and had to call AOL to change them.
Its sad when people go to so much trouble to try and get on AOL. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png |

Setup a cgi form on a server, mass email people with a link to it saying im from aol, they fill out the form with their p/w and cc# the cgi emails it to me, i wake up the next day and check my mail and hey there's all the info i need. Difficult? no, Stupid? Yes. kevin. |

also the big thing isn't really getting the AOL passwords, people only take those to **** around with nowadays and provide a nuisance to the original user. THe main goal of such things is to obtain credit card info, which even nowadays some people make accesible via their AOL accounts.
Also most aol "hackers" don't use aol at all, it's justAOL users are the easiest targets. Back in the day of the Sub7 Trojan you can scan the mainly used IPs of aol accounts and get a hit of the sub7 trojan virus on almost every IP, that's why they get picked on. kevin. |
Kevin knows his 3d stuff and his hacker stuff https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png He gets another cookie!

oh and msot everything dealing with AOL is "crackers" not "hackers"....it's a long standing dispute within the community itself. hackers say the test system's boundaries and alert the creators when the loop holes and security faults are found, whereas crackers enter a restricted area via brute force or creative back door, with their only intent being malicious behavior. The argument has been going on ever since the whole "Free Kevin" thing. kevin. |
