I've been getting a bunch of mail recently to join Gamma Beta Phi, which is some sort of honors society. I know that it is supposedly good for resumes, or for getting into grad school, but I haven't heard from anyone with actual experience. Is it really worth the 60 bucks plus 10 more every year?

Have you had trouble getting jobs? Does your resume not look impressive enough already? I declined it, but I'm cheap like that. Plus I'm just not for paying money to get my name in some book. Heck, just put it on your resume anyway, without joining.

I've had the same job for almost two years, now. My only reason for even considering it, is to help me get into grad school, but I don't know if it is even worth it. I don't see the need to spend money on something that is only meaningful to other people, and not to me, unless it will make it easier to get into the school I want to.
