hey ron x-7
you were right, i had air lock in the lines and the **** fired right up.. i sanded the electrode/ignitor dealies my buddy's old man is a plumber/heater guy and he told me how to bleed the lines properly.. ironically enough its just like bleeding diesel pln lines, so i bled them and the furnace fired up, the water heater air locked 3 or 4 times from bubbles before it stayed on for the record the ignitors are still burnt.. but they work so, **** it |

ron sounds so much cooler than rob. Should just change his name now
|
im calling rob "ron" from now on
my old roomates used to call me "carl" on purpose, and a friend of ours rob used to come over and we would call him "ron" or "ronnie" but thanks for your insight anyways, steve |
I call him Colon so why not
Ron is more of a porn star name change those parts, they are cheap and should cut down on your oil consumption |
oops! double poste.
|
You should run amsoil in that thing so you gets the mad horsepowers.
|
the jets/sprayers/whatevs are new, i cleaned them up.. last owner left the old ones in a box and they were pretty ugly looking.. i fail to see how new ignitors will improve economy - they just fire up the flame do they not? if they continuously fire during the cycle, then thats another story
id love to convert this dump to propane, upgrade furnace and water heater to something more modern, ditch the oil tank outside and get a propane one.. not in the cards yet though im still recuperating from buying this shithole in the spring! my brother converted his house to propane, the initial cost was expensive, but worth it in the long haul... im too far out in the boons to get natural gas.. so is he lol |
