Gas prices are outragous especially if you pump 94 octane like i do

Drove a buddy of mine to canada today and he bitched about how much 94 octane gas was https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif it's not really funny though it sucks

Dude, even 89 is insane...some stations around me have it for 1.91/gallon.

To think last year, gas prices were 1.31, 1.37, and 1.41 for 89, 91, and 93 respectively.

WTF is going on, we should all get free gas from Iraq!

Seraphx7 05-14-2004 07:16 AM

Thats because our president has a 5th grade education

I concur!

LOL, gas around me right now is 1.93 for 87 1.99 for 89 and 2.07 for 93, i dont even consider looking at 94 the extra 6-12 cents they want for it doesnt even make it worth running it's only one octane point. Baiscly inless you have a car that is tuned to the specs of a F1 race car you wont ever notice a diff between 93 and 94, but that's just my 2 cents.

OK, here's my problem with gas prices.

I understand supply and demand, but why is it when the price of crude fluctuates even slightly we instantly see a change at the pumps. . .

But there is noone at the grocery store changing the price of pork chops as the price of pork changes on the open market? Wheat prices sky rocket. . .yet the liquor store doesn't adjust the price of vodka?!?!?!

4RR: Don't bitch about the price of 94. . when you're driving to ANOTHER COUNTRY to get it?!?!? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

I hate paying $1.78 got 87. About a year ago it got down to $1.15 here.

the sad thing is, is that we have plenty of gas in reserve. On the news here last week the guy that runs the fuel depot said He doesn't understand why gas keeps going up because there is a reserve in case a shortage happens again so we don't have another 70's gas crunch. He explained that he alone in the strorage fac. has enough to supply Reno for 1 month with out getting a resupply.

The thing thats jacked it the price of making fuel from crude had not changed very much in 20 years ( 1gal = around 75cents) to make and transport. What we are getting screwed by places like shell, exxon, cheveron etc.. They just want huge profits for the company and stock holders..those guys are getting fat cash!!!

just watch the price of crude oil per drum check the prices over the last 5 years or even 1 year...it changes very little..and remember the price to make gas has changed almost nothing. So why are we paying high prices..easy rich people want be be richer, and we line up to pay.
