well i left work yesterday in Lewes, DE, and i'm heading north on RT1 (the only major highway in DE). Well, i'm cruising at like 80-85 mph with a van and a focus. well there were warning for scattered showers yesterday, and we encounter some, but whe got to this one area where it just started coming down. i mean the kinda rain where there is so much splashing on the road that all you see is a white haze. well the van slows down to like 70, and i slow down to around 75, but the focus decides to accelerate to around 90. needless to say he gets to around 20 car lenghts away, just enough to see his taillights, and i see his back end start fish tailing. the next this i see are his headlights followed by his taillights and followed by his headlights again. as he is spinning the van and i gain quick because he is obviously slowing, well unfortunatly the road takes a slow left turn, and there is a on ramp on the right. well i think he is gonna flip, but he hits the side of the on ramp and manages to get some control just before it, and slids about 20 ft up the grass hill, and then back down. noone got hurt, and his car seemed fine, but i know he and his girl were scared shitless. probably one of the most sureal moments was as he was slidding up the slope and i was looking at the top of his car. i hope the kid learned a valuably lesson in that incident.
