Well some of you might be aware that I have a carb conversion. I have been messing with it for sometime trying to get it set up correctly. I had a problem when I would mash the accelerator something would get stuck and the RPMs would start slowly rizing and I would have to turn the car off and pull to side to unstick it... (blah blah blah) anyways it hasnt happened in sometime because I havent been on it. well yesterday it happened 3 times so I started messing with it. I decided it could be the return spring for the throttle mechanism so I stretched it by hand a bit. (she has a Holley 650, street port, RB headers,2MSDs etc, etc...) and for 8 months after rebuild Ive been scratching my head saying, This f-ing car is slow. after stretching the spring...WHOLLY ****!!!!!! I took her out for a spin and she is F-ing Haulin ass. but I mean HAULING ASSSSSSS I am truly amazed. she revs 100% more freely now. just strange.

Isn't a 650 for a BP motor?

Ahh, the "pull-spring" mod. I think I got 30 extra hp on my car from that mod. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

first thing you check before you start the car is that you get

wide open throttle when the accelerator is floored, and

the return.

You can get new springs instead of running that stretched out

spring

ted- he probably has a 650 vacuum secondaries not a double pumper
