Did some driving trying to break in my car.

This was one the the roads I drove on. Its one of my favorites. If you catch it right there is no traffic and it gets pretty twisty for a Florida road. Most everything is pin straight here. Boring roads.

This was at the beach. Really rocky here. Another rare south Florida feature. There are lots of reefs right off shore here to snorkel and dive on.

The Dolphins like it here. I caught them feeding right off shore. I need a better zoom.

Ft. Pierce inlet. Took a pic here because to water always is so clean here. 20 miles south where the dolphins are the water is jacked because of the Army Corp of Engineers doing mass dumping of Lake Ockeechobee into our waterways.

Last pic. This is the Atlantic Ocean side of the inlet. You can see the 2 jettys jutting out into the ocean to keep setiment from closing up the inlet.

I have snorkled this reef - tons of fish. Also some freaking huge Barracudas not to mention Reef Sharks and a resident Hammerhead.

My buddy was diving it spearfishing, he was hiding in a crevice on the reef waitin for a school of red snapper (I think) they came he fired he got himself a nice big one.

He started heading up to his boat when he felt a big pull on his catch bag. He was spun around by a 6' long black tipped reef shark. It grabbed his catch bag and headed for the bottom. He, at fist turned and took off for the boat then got pissed (he is psycho) it was a brand new catch bag amd the fish was choice.

He headed back down as he reloaded his spear gun. When he came up on the shark struggling with the catch bag he poked it in the head w/ the spear causing it to drop the bag. He shot the bag w/ his speargun and took off for the surface as fast as he could swim and filling his BC up. (he wasin 30 feet of water) he got to the top and pulled his catch bag up as he climbed into his boat.

He is crazy. I would have pooped my wetsuit then peed and then puked once I was safe in the boat.

Another cool pic for you. This is so unlike a typical Florida beach in this area.

Great pictures.

What is the deal with Okechobee? While planning my eventual property purchase in Florida, Okechobee seems ideal, at least on a map. Live on a fresh water lake, drive 30 minutes to the ocean. Is it clean and developed? Or a swampy reptile infested marsh?

Ocheechobee was polluted by the sugar industry. Its a nasty lake. Iwouldn't even swim in it.
