Just got my car back friday from SevenSpeed in washington PA. It's tuned and runnin very well. I'm still boostin at 10 psi my 1300CC inj dont come in till next week. But that will only take a few min to install. But i took a test ride with george and he ran 14 psi and it was so fast it scared me. I feel like a kid in control of a doverman. I'm having a prob in second thou. When i shift over at 8,000 RPM from 1'st to 2'nd it feels like my wheels brake loose and grip about 4-5 times in a row really fast then it goes away and doesent happen again. I currently only have 7 inch wide wheels, and i'm boostin at 10 psi so with what i have done should be around 300-350 Hp, and my suspension is very tight. I was wondering if any of this has anyhting to do with it or if it's just how i'm shifting? Has any one else had this happen and if so what do i need to do? Thanks for all the help. And SevenSpeed hooked me up they do great work and they do it right it takes a little while to get done but you know it's right when it's done. George and Mike run the place, if you ever need any work drop em a line 724-250-7272.

What you describe is wheel hop and it can break lots of expensive drivetrain parts.

There are quite a few reasons how this can happen, usually worn out suspension bushings.

What suspension is on the car right now? If its a pretty old suspension, it might feel relatively tight to you, but compared to when new, you would shite your pants! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

No it is a aftermarket suspension not sure what it is. I know about wheel hop but i didnt think it could happen in 2'nd. Well i was thinking about going to coilovers would that help out, also let the suspension out a little. Right now the car is droped 1 inch with springs as well i know those are H&R springs. Other than that woudl the wider wheels help?

More rubber on the road is always good for traction. But if you still wheel hop with the wider wheels it will break things even faster. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

Wheel hop can happen in any gear as long as you have enough power to produce it. To try and make it better from 1st to 2nd, floor it and break the wheels loose completly and burn em out, otherwise you'll be hopping mad yo.

Either that or you snap an axle, lol. The alternative would be to ease the clutch out as quickly as you can without getting quick enough that you break the wheels loose.

Hum sounds good. That's whaty i have been doin is just taking it easy now from 1'st to 2'nd. I deff think if i loosen the suspension it might help out. And more rubber is allways good liek you said. Man if all that just didnt cost so damn much. Well thanks for the help.
