I was just wondering what kinda drag times do the fastest (rotary powered) RX-7's produce? Top speeds?
I heard of a 6 second FD once, but never seen proof. N E 1 got a video of something like that? Time slips? I told a friend of mine that I'd find him a video or something of a really fast rotary. No luck yet. |
hm, the 6 second RX-7 is in Puerto Rico, but I cannot remember the guy's name now!
Once I remember I'll see if I can find it . . . J |
seigel racing got under 7.0sec a few months ago

Damn, I don't ave it anymore. Sorry fellas, but I do have an Eclipse dynoing at 611.9 FWHP!!!
|
What generation?
|
The one before the new Eclipse.
|
LOL, 2nd...
My gen. is getting up there. A guy on the Eclipse Forums is running 15psi on a t3/t4 hybrid. He last dynoed 400 something HP/380 torque, but that was on 10psi. Haven't heard anymore on him. |

i would like fo abel to be the baddest in the land again
|
Okay, I read something in rotary news about Siguel hitting 6.52. I think the speed was 199 mph, but not sure. Does N E 1 know where I can get a video of something like this?
|
fastest rx7 was 16.6 @ 65mph if i recall correctly, those rotary engines suck at anything but being a paperweight.
kevin. |
i know that racingbeat did a land speed record FD that hit about 243mph
|
Yeah, they set a record in a 1st gen. in 1978 @ 183 mph. A 2nd gen. in 1986 @ 238 mph. A 3rd gen. in 1995 @ 242 mph. That salt-flat FD (RS-R7) looks awesome!
