I suspect an exhaust leak in a new purchase of an 88 rx7. I would like a bit more "throat" if I have to replace the mufflers. More efficiency if possible would also be appreciated. I am not a mechanic and would have to have a local do the work. Any suggestions?

It's got no turbo! It goes pretty fast now and I don't need no tickets. It's a conv. I don't want to make noise to be conspicuous but would like a little rumble for my ears. Just a nice sports car sound. It has a nice sound now at low rpms but in the backround I want to bring it forward a bit.

Racing Beat cat-back would be a very nice exaust, and being as your car is a convertible, if you like driving with the top down- KEEP YOUR CONVERTER AND EMISSIONS EQUIPMENT, unless you like smelling stinky ass exaust, getting a headache, not passing emissions, and your clothes and hair stinking like a rotory exaust. And even the mechanically retarded could manage to put the cat-back exaust on in thier driveway.
