I suspect an exhaust leak in a new purchase of an 88 rx7. I would like a bit more "throat" if I have to replace the mufflers. More efficiency if possible would also be appreciated. I am not a mechanic and would have to have a local do the work. Any suggestions?

88, what model? turbo or non turbo, that makes a difference in what you get, the next question you have to ask yourself, how much more power do I want, and how much noise am I willing to make, then, to be legal, or not to be legal, that is the question, if not, ditch the cats and all smog equipment, who cares if you leave a wake of dead animals and a gash in the ozone layer, as long as you go faster. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

It's got no turbo! It goes pretty fast now and I don't need no tickets. It's a conv. I don't want to make noise to be conspicuous but would like a little rumble for my ears. Just a nice sports car sound. It has a nice sound now at low rpms but in the backround I want to bring it forward a bit.
