i forgot the basic formula to multiply a whole row time a number. if anyone can help me with that i would appreciate it. i have to change everything on this list to be mutilplied by 2.65.
i just found out i did it wornd by mutilplying only the first row |
so every number in the table needs to be multiplied by 2.65? in all rows and columns? or do you want the product of all numbers in a row to appear in a separate column?
|
every number in every column needs to be mutilpied by 2.65
like for example row c7 - q7 |
Where do you want the results?
Also, you're saying you need the numbers in a column multiplied, then you're listing a row. Which is it? |
i need the numbers to appear in the same column. c7 is 1050 and it needs to be mulitplied by 2.65

need every cell multiplied by 2.65 and to be in same cell. im just marking everything up by 2.65
|
The easiest way is to start in a new cell and write =C7*2.65 in it, then drag it down to the same size as the original data. Then just copy and paste the new data.
|
Oh, don't forget to go to Paste Special and then just paste the values, not the formulas.
Dammit, I can't upload the file. |
