Just curious... who here drives their 7 on a regular everyday basis...im also wondering how well it will stand up to driving everyday in cold temps as well (i live in canada)

winger 11-21-2002 02:24 PM

i drive the 7 when there's no snow/no chances of snowing for 2-3 days.....kinda hard here in Canada.....

my 7 likes cold temp. i feel more power than during the summer....

it warms up quickly (faster than my probe) and isnt too bad on the road...

Travisty 11-21-2002 02:26 PM

well i drove mine every day in the winter of 2000-2001.

half was in a new jersey winter which wasnt that bad and the other half was in vermont, where it was pretty friggin cold.

i didnt have any problems. i would have to tap the gas and then hold it to start the car but that was the only thing. other than that it was fine. it actually did pretty well for a 2800lb rear wheel drive car in the snow. i put a descent set of tires on it and i never got stuck either.

norotor_nomotor 11-21-2002 02:39 PM

excellent... so i can safely buy my tII as my first car and have no problems getting to work to pay for it

damn canada we have no car buying websites cant find anything but autotrader

hey fellow canadians (if u exist) anyone know where to find used rx7s??

Travisty 11-21-2002 02:41 PM

that was on my gxl

i am sure the T2 wouldnt be any differnent unless you streetrace in the winter you should be fine

vosko 11-21-2002 02:46 PM

i daily drove my GTU also... never got stuck. i drove my FD in the winter ONCE.... it made it fine but i went REAL slow..... LOL

Rob x-7 11-21-2002 05:06 PM

I drove my 1985 GS everyday for about 3 years, every single day, never a day did it break down on me. Here in New York, went GREAT in the snow by the way.

phinsup 11-21-2002 05:07 PM

The 84 is a daily driver, the 10th Anny is during the summer, but I drive the Jeep during the winter.

j9fd3s 11-21-2002 06:04 PM

how many miles you got on the se?

mike

Cheers! 11-21-2002 07:43 PM

norotor_nomotor,

where in mississuaga are you from? i'm from there too... i'm in kingston right now for school... and my s5 TII is parked for the winter.

Rear wheel drive + snow = bent rims and tie rods.

also you'll remember driving in the winter when you try to undo any suspension bolts the next year. Have fun.

=)

What 7 do you drive? i don't think i've ever seen you post on the "OTHER" forum or the "#2 Other forum"
