Have you used this new feedback system? Wut the hell, sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers? Wut the hell kind of system is that?

Well, the thing about that is, somebody's got to leave feedback first. If you are the seller, and you get paid, what else do you need in order to leave positive feedback? I find that a lot of sellers will hold feedback until after I leave them positive feedback, like they're holding my feedback hostage. It's wrong. You're the seller, you get paid, you leave positive feedback. Period.

Now of course there are sleazeballs buyers who will bitch about something trivial or imaginary and leave undeserved negative feedback, but that's just the way it is. A rebuttal is about all you can do about that.

I agree. I stopped selling on eBay once they swapped to the new rules.... but still continue to buy there.

I see the point that it's protection against buyers who leave negative feedback and then get a retaliation negative. I've even left positive before with a comment saying "should be negative but not worth the risk". My perfect rating is too important to be fucked up by some fag who doesn't like it that he shipped me garbage and I spilled the beans.

Yea but here's the thing, now if you have a buyer that bids then doesn't pay you, you can't warn other sellers, you can't leave negative feedback like "buyer never paid"

In that case, I think there's something called "unpaid item strikes" that ebay tallies.

phinsup 09-17-2008 11:34 AM

wut the crap, i just want to sell my **** for more then it's worth i dont need all this crap!

TheRX7Project 09-17-2008 05:37 PM

Yeah you do get "unpaid item strikes" or some **** like that. But it still doesn't serve as a warning to future sellers. And how hard is it to create a new eBay account?

I guess you could put "no bids with a rating of less than 10" or something, but that would keep new LEGIT buyers from buying your ****.

The new system sucks for sellers with non-legit buyers, and the old system sucked for buyers with non-legit sellers.

I guess the all-paypal payment system, with the old ratings system, could've worked. If they checked to make sure you paid, then yep, you got a positive feedback.
