Oh thank god, I was just about to donate some cash to guy on tv that feeds them, looks like the problem is finding it's own solution.

My wife and I sponsor a child in Mozambique through World Vision. From what I understand, they're pretty efficient at getting aid to where it's needed. It's not going to fix the problem anytime soon, but you can make a difference in at least one child's life.

But yesterday Canadian tear Jerkers were saying that malaria kills 3000 children a day, so there is 8000 a day, in a year there should be no kids left in the world, problem solved..

I dont buy the numbers and being that I remembe r the same charities exploiting Africa since I was a kid, I dont think giving money is the answer at all. I really dont believe it finds its way to any of the people, and I dont think the people there have any way to implement it properly. Those people have become living stage props for people that make their living off the sympathy industry.

Even in my memory African kids have been the supposed benefficary of western funds for over 25 years, and what has changed, well nothing... They are still picking maggots off the ground to eat, and running around half naked for the camera...

Meanwhile the people running the charities are probably living a very high end lifestyle..

Its like the world wild life fund, for a supposed enviromental group, I have seen how some of its directors live first hand, and its got nothing to do with saving the enviroment for animals..

the answer is not to throw money at the problem, its education.

you have people who care not to be educated.

I dont care if they are african, chinese, american, canadian- its survival of the fittest. Part of me wishes I can run around in a loin cloth banging women all day and making tons of babies and not have to work, but then I remember all the disease and famine that would cause me.

Not too mention a bad rash

As much as I agree with you on this point, I must dismiss this statement as far too broad a generalization to be valid. There are examples of native sons and daughters getting the education and acquiring the tools necessary to implement a change, however small, in their communities.

at 8000 a day x 20 years = 58,400,000...

that is a whole lot of people.
