Has any one here ever sent their odo or speedo off to be repaired? I have found a few places that will do it for 200-300 dollars. I was wondering if you all knew of anyone trustworthy https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Yourself? Cable odometers are easier to repair than digital. |
I've often wondered this myself as my digital speedo is uh.. dead.

I had a friend who killed his speedo and thus his odo and it fried something serious. It was a honda so I really did not pay attention. But I think he unplugged it and it messed with something like the automatic tranny...

its just a flash chip....

AFAIK, it's some transistors that fail in the cluster that cause the display to stop functioning. If you're proficient solder-er then you can probably pick up a repair kit for $60 on ebay and fix it yourself. I've heard great things about those repair guys.
