Rollback is illegal https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png this is calibration and repair. When they are done they reprogram the mileage back into it... But I have heard they forget to write down your mileage and have to call you back to get the accurate odo reading...





Cable odometers are easier to repair than digital.

I've often wondered this myself as my digital speedo is uh.. dead.

I had a friend who killed his speedo and thus his odo and it fried something serious. It was a honda so I really did not pay attention. But I think he unplugged it and it messed with something like the automatic tranny...

its just a flash chip....

AFAIK, it's some transistors that fail in the cluster that cause the display to stop functioning. If you're proficient solder-er then you can probably pick up a repair kit for $60 on ebay and fix it yourself. I've heard great things about those repair guys.

Anyone that you would reccomend? Do you know someone who has actually had their odo REPAIRED?

um the fd speedo is kinda unknown, if it was a european car it can be fixed super easy, theres a lot of demand for low miles european cars, if you know what i mean
