I finally broke down and bought a system for the house and got a smokin deal to boot, 3.4GHz, 17" lcd tv, cd, dvd, printer that will do everything and take the garbage out, and all the bullshit in between for 2200, not bad, and I can have state of the art equipment until I plug it in! However in my haste to place the order, I overlooked a digital camera option, any suggestions?

sweet! i suggest you find all the dell software, round it up, and burn it! and then load in less gay stuff

I got the XPS w/ 3.4ghz, 2gb RAM, 120gb HD, DVD/CD-R combo drive, sound blaster Audigy 2 SC, Radeon 9800 Pro, Win XP Home, 5.1 surround for 1972$

BEAT THAT!!!!

(P.s. I already had a 19" CRT, so I didn't need a new monitor)

I got an AMD AthlonXP 1700+ with 64MB Nvidia video card, 256MB PC133 and a 40GB HD for $240. Do I win?

It has a DVD-ROM/CD-RW and a DVD+-RW in it now, so I guess it cost a little more.

AMD XP 1800+ clocked @ 2.9GHZ stable, 512mb pc4200, Gforce FX5900 256MB w/ volt mod, dual 80gig hdd's (soon to be a third 120), dvd/cd burner rated at 16x dvd write and 52x cd write, Digidoc standalone tempature system.

O and the custom watercooling: DD Maze4 CPU block, DD Maze4 GPU block, Custom NB block, C10 heatercore, dual 120MM evercool fans, DD air trap, and a maxijet 1k pump.

I paid a total of 435.97. Do i win yet?

rant on:

******* dell, wait till you need warranty and they send you

used parts and there is nothing you can do about it because

its in the warranty agreement that they can furnish you with

any parts they see fit

not too mention the ******* idiots who answer the phone

over there, after you finally get someone on the phone being

on hold for 20 minutes

im sure the people who sell the computers speak good english

and you dont have to wait though

ok, im done, Hey good luck with the new computer- you will love it!

when i owned my dell i never had a problem. Mainly because i would call and just start pissing and moaning. I never got refurb parts because i would go to like best buy, get the part i needed, and forced dell to re-imburse me.

I actually needed to hire a lawyer one time, about 2 months later i got reimbursed for a hard drive and lawyer fee's.

Wow all that and not one decent suggestion about a good digital camera.

Dell is no different than any other system maufacturer, besides people who work in customer service are easy to deal with, all I need is thier respective work order number, then have whatever serviced local on the manufacturer's nickel.

Some of the prices you guys paid leads me to believe that repairs are the least of your worries, for 250 to 500 dollars you can afford to throw the son of a bitch out the window if it gives you any problems!

yea out the window with ye!
