we finished it up today, my dad found a new place, we almost bought new, but ended up with a really nice older house in a good area. Tomorrow we get to do the mortgage crap and Friday we get to have one day of vacation LOL.... some vacation, think I've been less stressed out the laast 2 weeks not on vacation LOL

phinsup 06-16-2004 06:11 PM

It's absolutely insane how fast **** is selling, we got one bought out from underneath us, there is an offer down we had to beat on this one and neither of them had even hit the listings yet, fuggin rediculous.

I will try and swing by tomorrow and snap some pics, we got a huge covered porch with a passthrough to the kitchen, fenced yard, 2 car garage. It's a 3 bedroom, but it has a huge Den for the office that opens up to the living room/ gameroom/bar. There's another room off the dining area that we are going to use for the TV room and what not, it's 1710 square feet, plus garage and the truss covered porch. Only one room has carpet all the rest is tile, we'll pull the carpet in the other, we don't want carpet, huge tile bathrooms and showers.

Side yard LOL, it's got a nice little side yard to stick it in, but it's gonna be a while before I can afford to spend any more money LOL

Well actually like 2 rooms, it's kinda warm in the garage, it wont be AC'd until November when my buddy comes down from seattle.

We've actually got 2 spare rooms, we are going to set up a guest bedroom in one and not sure what in the other. I am going to put my office in the den area cause it's more open, which will be a nice change since my office has always felt like a cave LOL.

rowtareh 06-16-2004 06:39 PM

Can I come visit you phins?

Sounds like you got a good deal though. Gonna get a 80' sailboat now? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Of course LOL

No I won't get a boat that big, nor will i be getting a sailboat for the first boat, it will be a fishing boat with hopefully a day cabin.

89 Rag 06-16-2004 06:59 PM

Excellent, one less thing to stress about! Sounds like you guys have found a nice place w/ alot more space, Enjoy!

phinsup 06-16-2004 07:02 PM

Yea it's a crapload more space, plus the 2 car garage. Now I just gotta figure out how to get our **** there.

89 Rag 06-16-2004 07:11 PM

Do what I did to the puchlist from my companies' latest interior remodel painting project, BURN IT! to achieve closure and move on!

J/K, I'm sure you've looked into moving companies like Mayflower, and Atlas and probably puked at the prices they are asking, and I'm sure hauling it yourself, crosscountry isn't that appealing either. I would think someone here would have a hook-up to help you out w/ the move.

rowtareh 06-16-2004 07:12 PM

Hmmm, you never said where you are located exactly?

Nice fishing boat would be good though. I personally like the big pontoon boats. Those are really cool. Good fishing and party boat https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

phinsup 06-16-2004 07:13 PM

We aren't taking all that much, but to move it myself it's about $3500 plus gas, if I load it on a semi and they haul it, it's like $4800 which includes gas and is ultimately cheaper at 3400 miles of travel.

If YOU LOAD it on the semi they will haul it? That seems kinda weird, but rules are rules.

Seems fair to me. Good thing about military, they will move all your stuff for free, and you don't have to LOAD a single thing up. But **** does get stolen.

Oh, don't mean to sound arrogant, but take pictures of all your prized possessions/expensive things. Or else something comes up missing, you are fucked. Happened to my parents. About 300 CD's stolen, and a 200 Disc Player. They will get anything they can.

Yea that is what I have been told, apparently you can itemize each thing of value and then pay extra insurance, since we're getting rid of most of the "crap" what's left will be worth itemizing LOL

banzaitoyota 06-16-2004 07:31 PM

there is a company called PODS that drops off a container at your present location and moves it to your new location when it is fi\ull

banzaitoyota 06-16-2004 07:34 PM

phinsup 06-16-2004 09:06 PM

HA HA I have tried several of that style of moving, they are out of site. The dudes I am looking at bring a trailer by drop it off for 18 hours, you load it they drive it and give you 18 hours at the other end. Which of course poses another slight issue, but I think Jim can help me out there.

j9fd3s 06-16-2004 09:24 PM

ive spent the last 2 days loading crap into a semi! (the entire parts dept!) and i have another day (at least) to go, either burn all your stuff or pay them to lead it up for you

phinsup 06-16-2004 09:37 PM

I'm hoping to get at least one day on the beach, we've been staying on the beach all week and we've only got to enjoy it at night :(
