i was coming out of wawa today for lunch at was at a stop light... i could have gone straight or turned right to get back to skool. so i decided i didnt wanna wiat for the red light and turned right and what do i run into in about 4 feet some orange cones and a bunch of cops checking inspection stickers.... of course i dont have one.... guy pulls me over and has me sitting thare for 20 minutes and gives me a ticket for that ****!

I have annual Emmsions tests, and stickers to validate insurance but an actual safety? Once when you get ownership changes over. . to get it plated! That's it!

we have inspections as well as emissions test every 2nd year here. cars without cat (in stock conditions :redface: ) have it every year

hell we didn't have to have insurance until 2 or 3 years ago. still no emissions. the only sticker i have is my oil change sticker.

The guy inspecting your car must have REALLY disliked you to fail you for such a stupid thing, you were probably all 'gangsta' on his ass, and probably sat there and watched them do it, maybe even said something stupid like "dont scratch my car"

bigtimes car wont speed. and you dont have to have brights to pass an inspection. here theyre like hmm the lights work the blinkers work the horn works the brakes work theres air in the tires ok you passed. no emissions either

My :rant: button is now off.[/quote] i deliver pizzas for a living we should get special treatment "30 minutes or less" (well dominos stopped that years ago and i werk for papa johns anyway) i wasnt complaining so much about the ticket as i was about the fine 114 dollars and i didn't even go to court i paid through the mail. besides if you had been on the road i had you would have prolly been going 50 miles over its so fun. and i dont like cops on general principle but this one was a real dick he made fun of my car because it smoked a little b/c i broke an OMP line when i replaced the water pump (now fixed no more premix yea). so i may have got what i deserved but what about the guy that runs a red light or does 60 in the thirty where are the nice cops then i'll tell you where krispy kreme . i wouldnt hate cops so much if they wernt such dicks. the cops are all on a power trip they think because they went throught 3 weeks (or whatever) of training and carry a gun and a badge that they have some right to be assholes... well i hate assholes and so i hate cops. ps when you get your first ticket you prolly wont like cops either (of course you can always try the flash em a boob technique seemed to have worked for a friend of mine) now that i have retorted lets be friends https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/beer2.gif btw where is gulf breeze i used to live in gulf shores and orange beach? |
well we have 2 options here but have the following
dyno style emissions testing full!! safety inspection! Can fail from even a slightly torn windshield wiper!! I failed one because I had a small tack in my tire that didnt even puncture it. So I took it out since the tires were brand new went back and they passed me... idoits... But anyway we can choose from 1 time every year or 1 time every 2 years.. but we have to pay double for it. Which I can see.... No insurance stickers... But we do get.... Emissions stickers Inspection stickers... Both are somewhat big and ugly... inspection is about 2 1/2 inches long and 1 inch tall... The emissions stickers seem to be about 3 inches long and 2 inches tall and are BRIGHT GREEN But bigtime I dont normally get serious with you... but come on man you didnt have a sticker on your car the cop caught you.... did you expect him to just let it pass???? what if you failed for something like leaking fluids??? sorry man just saying it how it is! |
once again, I love florida, inspection what? emmisions what? ticket what? it seems to me that as long as you are not 90, and doing 10 mph while straddling the double yellow, the cops leave you alone, it is like it is such a relief to see someone who is not going 30 under, that they don't pull you for speeding, at least not yet, and to everyone who says cops are assholes, they are doing their job, and 9 times out of 10, the only reason you catch any attitude from them is probably because you are an ass to them first (my favorite, "**** off pig, I know my rights" that always makes me want to administer the MP beatdown right then and there)

we have inspection here in Canada when you put back a car thats been "parked" for over two years such as mine.
The guy was the biggest jerk ever. He couldnt pass my car because 1-the seat was so rusted it couldnt move, missing exhaust gaskets, battery was loose (needed a bracket) . When I fixed all that, he asked me for a $15 fee because I had to come back. BS I told him, that guy was the biggest crook ever. Even his nephew, whom I know, told me to watch out......he was the only inspector in town.....and now....he got fired from his job....coincidence? |

Cops aren't dicks unless you persue (sp) them into being one. You act like a dick to them, t hey're gonna do the same to you. Not all cops are everywhere, everytime of the day. They all don't get all the "bad" guys you say. So.... you're saying they're on a power trip because they're protecting you? They're telling you don't speed.... because it's dangerous? Yeah okay. I don't want to be any where near you, when you speed, and can't stop in enough time and slam into me, or someone I know. If you have ran into a few "bad" cops along the way, you can't say that "all" cops are horrible. That's not right and fair. Most cops who are dicks, per se, to you is because probably the attitude you give them when they give you a ticket or better yet when they first pull you over. If you actually took the time to see a cop, be nice to them, and don't act all tough - then maybe you'll see what cops really are. They're human, like all of us. I'd like to see you be a cop for a day, and then tell me that they are "power tripping dicks". You dunno the line of work they go through to keep you and everyone safe. Go walk in their shoes before you discrimiate them. No, actually, when I get my first ticket, I will KNOW WHY. Because *I* sped. It is quiet the common sense. YOU SPEED, YOU GET THE TICKET. You get caught, then well, too bad. I've been told by a cop that I know here in town, that he was gonna pull me for doing 52 in a 35 (which wasn't true, I was doing 45 in a 35) and he was gonna give me a $148 ticket. I didn't deny or try to get out of the ticket, but I told him I knew I was speeding. He said he didn't feel like giving me the ticket so early in the morning, but next time he will. This is really my opinion on all this, I'm really tired of people discrimiating cops in general. Walk in their shoes for a day, then come to me and tell me that they are "dicks". Gulf Breeze is less than 20mins (or ~9 miles) from Pensacola, FL. |
