After much bashing of BATMAN, they remarkable dropped the price from 450 to 150!!!!

TRAILPLUG® (MAZDA ROTARY DETONATION PREVENTION)

Update: 06/05/04: Due to overwhelming feedback from the rotary community regarding pricing for this product, we have consulted Danco, Inc in allowing us to reduce the pricing to what appears to be a more reasonable price for this product. We have reduced the price to $150 to meet a lot of requests for better pricing on this product. At the moment we are awaiting key players in the rotary community to post their feedback, whether good or bad on this product. Please check back here for updates.

after reading their rebuttal i dont think they even understood the point that the "bolts" if you will are worth more then maybe 10 bucks betwwen the price of the material and the metal lath time....

Haha, I bet those who paid $450 feel good about now.

I can honestly tell you that if they could make the price for three of their bolts a little more enticing, I'd get some for my 20B. The only reason why is because I don't want to add three more coils and three more ignitors to my engine (bay) for only a couple more HP.

As for as I know, my 20B is the only one with 0 and 180 degree sparks out there. Yes, it does run. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png That extra (180º) spark per rotor face sparks into the trailing edge of the AF mixture and can sort of take over trailing's job. I hooked up a switch to turn trailing on and off on my REPU's 13B, and couldn't feel a difference (or maybe there was, but it could have been something in the road too hehe). A clutch fan sucks way more power which can easily be felt. Only a dyno would be able to tell when trailing is on and off... maybe.

I just can't justify the cost, time, engine bay room etc for only a tiny improvement in engine power and emissions. Since it's NA, there is no worry of detonation. I'm a little concerned with a possible build up of carbon in the trailing hole, but I don't think it'll be too much of a problem. Or will it?

I'm kinda in this all by myself here.

just run a simple low-output water injection system that turns on at 80-100% throttle to take care of the carbon issue. Steam cleaning all the way! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

That's a great idea! I'll hook it to the primary linkage and feed it into the carb so it only comes on when it's more or less floored.
