Here's a question for all you students (or former students):
I would like to scan my handwritten notes from my classes into my computer, and then convert it to "computer text." The first part of this task is simple, and needs no explanation. However, the conversion between text is seemingly insurmountable for me. If anyone has a solution to this problem, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks, Eric |
OCR software. Do a search, I dunno which ones are really good these days.

Be careful to check against your notes after converting. I remember doing this awhile back and the computer came up with, at times, indistinguishable sentences. Of course, the software I was using was fairly old, but it never hurts to check.

its called Written Word Recognition or some **** like that, i forget honestly i considered it vacant technology aka no one bothering with it anymore.
no what i hate the most? those talk to type programs, theyre ******* crap in my opinion. One cool thing i saw was a computer "tablet" you could write onto and it'd store it in the tablet and when connected via USB or serial port it would be presented as a computerized word document.....that **** was fancy but never saw a use for it all my research was on the computer so id research and type in one go round. kevin. |
