What do you guys think about changing the chatroom to an AOL chatroom applet, I can incorporate it into the site jus the same, you'd be able to invite people to the chat, etc, etc and you would always have the link off of the forum. Would save the "invite" only room that is frequently used on AOL now.



Just a thought, give me some feedback.

how about i just make an irc room?

We gotsta pay for irc server, if we get enough use going I will do, but right now it gets used so little don't want to pay for the setup and software.

just made a room on teh chatcafe server called #nopistons



server name is irc.cyberchat.org and port is 6667,6668

Yea, but do they have a Java applet as well that we can run off of the web page, we had irc only and it didn't fly cause there was no java applet

u can run a java applet into irc. lots of websites do it. and ur link doesnt werk for me and what is ur aim ill talk to u on that

Yea that is the only drawback you have aol instant messenger or Netscape Instant Messenger to use the chatroom right now, like I say we weren't getting any use before, that's why I went this route.



Give me the link to the irc and I'll check out their java applet.

The big downside to the new chat feature is you have aol instant messenger or netscape instant messenger to use it. I am working on getting something else together.
