I just wanted to pin this topic for future reference as it's spread out over several topics I have posted.
This is a great site for viewing how much of each dollar you gives goes to the cause, it gives in depth info on the organization as well. http://www.charitynavigator.org Again, for those of you who don't have the money to spare to donate or for that matter just want to do more: http://www.volunteermatch.org/ You can do things as simple as a half hour of data entry for the lost relatives website there. Here's a couple I recommend and looked into extensively, with 98% going to the cause, this charity only works here at home in the US. http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm/...mary/orgid/5271 I am still looking for a good org for pet rescue, etc... the humane society seems like a good choice however as far as I can tell they are locally based only, there is no national org. Please feel free to add your charity's, thoughts whatever I'll keep this pinned. |
