OK there are a few changes in the makes as some of you may know. As always the way I would like to do them and the way it will probably happen are two different things.



First off we are changing forum software... in my opinion we will outgrow ikonboard. I have not quite decided which software, only the design I want for the new site (hint: much like np.net https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR )



That said we are going to move to providesite servers soon. The sooner the better as far as I am concerned. This will cause a day or two of inconvenience as while we are waiting for the domain to propogate we will have to access nopistons.com via ip. We will close the forum and forward to the new one,. Little downtime will be involved, it will just be a little funky accessing an ip for a day or two.



I had planned on changing software and switching servers simotaneously, but that does not look feasible as the converter is not ready for either software options I am considering and we won't convert it unless we can convert everything over. I will keep everyone posted as to the status of both situations.

For those of you who read this and wondered about e-mail accounts.... ok well there will be a post here, in the forum. If you want to keep your e-mail addy you will have to reply within the topic.



I figure you use the forum you'll see it and you'll get your e-mail at the new server.



I may or may not support POP accounts, it seems I field a lot of questions regarding the POP accounts.

We will prolly switch servers sooner than I thought. Actually I pretty much have everything already set up, I am just playing around with stuff over there cause it's fun and I can break and no one ever knows.... think about it there is a forum that looks exactly like this in a parrallel universe.. well another server anyhow!
