Well I guess it could be considered a computer type question as well. I need to pick up a new head unit for the RX7. I want one where I can dump like 300 audio files from my computer (MP3's?) onto ONE disc.
I've found different things though in looking for something that can handle that. Some players say that they handle mp3 format and can do that, yet others say that WMA is what you need to be able to do that. What is the difference? CD/MP3/WMA Receiver CD/MP3 Receiver PS--I want something that is XM ready. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
MP3 is one format
WMA is another if you tip your own tracks from cds, then you can do either, if your downloading them they are MP3 and you would have to convert them to WMA. in lab results I believe WMA are cleaner, to the human ear a MP3 encoded on 128 and up sounds as good as a CD. In the car you wouldnt be able to hear the difference anyhow |
by the way, you know XM ready means it will control XM but
you still need the tuner and antennea |
also you know they make mp3 hard drives just for your car. Kinda like a cd changer, you throw it in the trunk
|
So basically if I burn them in MP3 format for the car I should be ok?
And yes, I'm aware about the extra stuff needed for XM. Thanks though. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Oh, and thanks for the help. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |
