OK, I have traded my NA for 2 TII's, and I don't want to be buying $200-300 bucks worth the gas for my step dad's truck, so I am wondering if I could get him to pull a car dolly behind our tandem trailer. And if it is any help to anyone I live in SC.
i would say thats not legal but i dont know
so like.. 2 trailers on one vehicle? illegal as all hell..
obviously this is a different scenario, but i see semis pulling 2, sometimes even 3 trailers down here (utah). i think your best bet would be to contact the DOT and ask them about it.
i think its gonna be illegal, but your best best is ti check
mike |
first off what the **** kinda na did u trade for 2 t2s
um actualy it is illegal because my uncle was going to trailor his boat behind a camper and that was illegal
Its not illegal in every state. It varies. Like more of the midwest, midsouth states let you. But in more populated areas they dont.
It is illegal the only reason you see semi's doin it liek ups trucks is because the drives have a special lic that allows them to haul tandom.

In California, it is legal only if you are licensed to drive 18 wheelers.
And, BOTH trailers need to have brakes. WTF?!?!?!??? NA=2 T2's? How does that work? |
if you did it legally....then you the answer is YES
yea and actualy a trailor doesn't need brakes untill its longer then 17 foot. and in order to obtain a CDL ("truckers Lisence") it takes roughly 2 weeks to do. (my father drives a semi)

first off what the **** kinda na did u trade for 2 t2s I am tradeing my 88 GTU for an 87 TII that has a blown water seal on an engine that isn't even broke in yet, and it doesn't boost. And there are other little problem's with it to. And the second TII is a parts car, also 87. where in SC? Aiken. And my step dad has a CDL, but it limits him to class 8 straight trucks (dump trucks), but if he went back and took his air brakes test he could drive an 18 wheeler. |
EVERYTHING is ONLY ILLEGAL IF you get CAUGHT!

Well, one of my dad's friends did something similar to that in CA. He had an RV and towed a boat and a car behind it. It was legal the catch is that you have to be licensed to do something like that, he just got pulled over a lot. No tickets, just a lot of "you got a license to pull that"? So ask the DMV about it, they should give you some reliable info about it.

Two Trailers:N Damn, time to find someone with a longer trailer. Ohhh well, maybe I will just sell some crap, and pay my step dad gas money for an extra trip. |
