Hey I want to get real rifle...not a 243 or 30-06. I mean a monsta. No not a 50 cal.7mag or 300 mag something in the "I may not hit a kill shot but its OK there nothing left kinda gun."

Opinions?

Join the Navy. Guns don't usually get much bigger than that.

You lost me man. There is a huge difference between the the .243 and 30-06, although not much difference between the 30-06, 7mm mag, or 300win. mag. We us the .308 cartriage for just about everything unless we go big with a .50cal. What are you trying to kill?

Yeh I know I had both(243 for far shots like gophers but works on deer here too). Well I gave up my lease this year but was offerd to get in a new one with my best friend and I just wanted get an elephant /water buffalo gun. Just cause of its destructive power.

My bud has the 300mag for the tracking in Montana. He said its a mac daddy.

Just curious because when I was into rifles 20 years ago it was a 375 H&H. I am ignorant today.

But then again I started with a 44Magnum rifle if you ever saw one of those.(Marlin I believe)
