Hey Guys,

I might be involved in 2 closing in real estate soon which could net me something I could invest into a 2nd garage at my home. I currently have 2 Cars (My Integra & FD) and I plan on racing the FD (Track's & AutoX) and currently am occupieing one spot in my father's 2-car garage attached to our home. He won't mind me building something to get my car out of there :P.

Something like www.ultimategarage.com would be only a dream right now, since I have a smaller budget. But I was wondering if anyone here has estimated the cost of a decent sized, 2 car garage. What are my options (estimates) for heating, perhaps being able to wash my FD (and something else soon perhaps ) inside (gutters?) and a lift (They seem overwhelmingly expensive... ).

Nothing's set in stone yet, in real estate especially, but I was wondering if anyone knew of smart prices or sites to plan with. If it's too much than I can afford, perhaps I'll have to simply build a 2 car garage without anything "special" inside.

I previously worked in construction so I am getting estimates on concrete/foundation work and the lumber.

Any help/pointers are superappreciated fella's.

What Zoning restrictions/Coventants are you under?

What Type of Construction?

Stick-Built? Block? StrawBale? Metal (Hoover Type) Metal (Quonset Type?)

What is your Budget?

What do you want to do in it?

Wash your car inside the garage?

you can wash your car inside your garage here, just cant drain it, lol

they frown upon drains in garages.

budget about $25000 for that project, you can get a metal shed a bit cheaper, but you would still need a driveway to it as well as a foundation/floor, electric, water, insulation, heat, lighting etc..
