https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif Well it wasn't my fault. Apparantly what happened was the nose wheel cylinder went bad. I noticed when I took off from Tulsa the plane vibrated kinda bad right as I lifted off. I flew down to another airport, landed to a full stop, and then took off no problems. When I came back into Tulsa I did a touch n go just fine, then came around again for a short approach but when I touched down this time it was smooth for a couple seconds and then all of a sudden it felt like the plane was going to completely fall apart. The vibration was so bad I could hardly keep my feet on the rudders, it just kept bouncing them off. I immediatly got on the radio and informed tower I had a serious problem, possibly a tire blew out, but was having a hard time stopping and was gona try to make Alpha 3, which was nearly 5000 feet from where I initially touched down. This was good for 2 reasons cause I knew I had a large plane coming in behind me and I thought for sure I was gona have to be towed off the runway. So I ended up at Alpha 3 and as the plane coasted to its vibrator style stop, the vibration ended and it was smooth as silk. I was able to taxi all the way back to the place where I rented the plane. Ironically enough I had been warned that their maintence wasn't that good, and that came true in a not so fun way.

I didn't know Hertz rented planes.

Glad you're okay though.

Oh another note, this was the first time I took my Dad up in a plane. He's 70 years old and has never been in a plane this small. He handled it pretty well though. My menuevers scared him more than the landing gear problem.

reminds me of when I was in a 6 passenger piper flying over alaska, the landing was not smooth to say the least

sitting next to the pilot and watching him grab **** and pedal with his feet is not fun

I remember watching a -8 landing, the pilot didn't flare enough and he smashed into the runway, no one was hurt, but the plane was a write off.
