Is there a way to change an old black and white photo to color. I think I have heard of this but not sure where to go. I don't have a negative, just the picture. I also want to blow this picture up a little bit. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

its doable, they used to color in old movies, usually sections will have a reddish tint, or a bluish tint. later they colorised em by computer

Nope. Nothing short of paying an artist to "hand color" it. This is not an unusual process, however. At least not in the old school of photography. If you were in Richmond, VA, I could hook you up. Best bet is to take it to a high-end portrait studio and see if they know of anyone who could do it.
Reproducing an old B&W print involves basically putting it on a flat, well-lit surface, and shooting a picture of it. Then you have a negative and can make whatever size enlargements you want. |
Or you could try it yourself, or ask an artistic friend to do it.
