Well, I just went out and spent about $100 on some wash, polish and wax for my cars, and everything seemed to turn out well. Out of the different waxes I've used over the years, the most recent (and expensive) one seemed to work the best for me, which is Zymol. Just was looking for some input on your detailing experiences and if anyone has some tricks/secrets for a really good shine, please share. Thanks all https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

The only wax on your list even WORTH considering is ZAINO.
I prefer BLACKFIRE, followed by Klasse and Pinnacle If you want to discuss detailing in detail (HAHAHA) go register at wwww.autopia-carcare.com |
Zaino is the best wax, hands down. Actually, all of the products they make are top notch.

I agree, Zaino is the best. i have used zymol, damn good **** too, the rest is trash

my response to this would be so long no one would read it anyhow.
let me try to sum it up quickly: wax is the final step in a process, at the end of the process the wax does NOTHING for gloss enhancement, it only preserves the finish. I used to own and operate a detail shop, my neighboor was a limosine company that I would wash his cars EVERYDAY, black, silver, and white cars. I would also detail/wax the cars. Being as I had such a good test bed of cars that were being washed everyday, I tried every single wax I could get my hands on the cars to test them. In the end it boiled down to how long the wax lasted and ease of use which includes things like "when you pull a black car out in the sun does it look like total ass requiring more hand buffing, or does it look great?" the really cheap crap didnt last and wasnt that easy to work with to achieve the highest results. The more expensive **** was just that- expensive, none that I tested did anything more then a $7.99 bottle of Mothers Carnuba wax and none lasted longer. I even waxed some hoods 1/2 and 1/2 so I could see which ones lasted longer so I talk from expierence, im not a web site that is biased to my own products that I sell so take it for what its worth. Personally I use 3M products for compounds, glazes and what not, and finish it with Mothers wax. Very few can argue the finish I achieve with this on a black car even if that car is out in the sun or in the shade. most show cars do not use wax at all, they only use glazes. |
KY....oh wait thats not wax. Actually I just tried some of this spray on rain X wax, works really well.
