In the next few weeks im going to start looking for a beater car. This way i can start working on the vert a little bit more and not have to worry about driving it. Only problem is i got no clue what to get, of course i want a mazda but i dont know wether to get a truck a car or what. Some one help me out hell it doesnt even have to be a mazda.

get a truck, I want a beater truck, trucks are practical.

i love my blazer...... best thing i ever bought!
Get something 4WD, like an Impresa 2.5RS, inexpensive and drives all 4.
Get an old MX-6 or a 93-95 Mitsubishi Mirage
Or an old truck, so you can haul **** around. |
tempo?
awd tempo
They make those?
Toyota Truck, late 80's. They are cheap, easy to work on and run for ever :yinyang:
get a little truck bc then you can haul stuff and they get good gas mileage. i know this was said already but thats my vote
find a car thats been sitting in a parking lot for a while and get a salvage title, it's free.

hondas and **** like that go cheap in running condition, i am talking like 500-700 and they are functioning properly. my roomie and i bought a civic si hatchback for 300$ it is being built to compete USAC car audio shows. it runs perfectly after a new battery....or how about the utility minivan we got there fo 150$ ir runs fine.... the idea here is NOT to have a note, RIGHT?? |
I have a Tempo.

I would say hondas.... I have a acura integra as my beater, and before that had a honda CRX... Great cars reliability wise, I could tear the **** outta them and they wouldnt break.... Must say I like the acura better though, it at least has a bit more pep to it

i got an 89 mustang 5.0 for my winter beater... bad on mileage ( better than my fd though ), drives perfectly, load as hell ( no cats n dumps ), and rwd! all i ever wanted!! snow drifting for 1800 is awesome!!!
I'm still seeing pretty many 323's for under a grand on Autotrader... small but great gas mileage and reliable. A friend of mine traded one in with 215K still going strong.
i dont think he needs AWD where he lives, so a simple 2wd truck/pickup
might be nice |
mk2 8 valve jettas are abundant and cheap..you can pick up one for under $2000 in great condition
my friend bought one for 800 and its been going strong for 4 years now |
