paulie loves the uni bit
he knows its faster and easier then drilling a pilot hole |
I saw him use one and I thought "I gotta get me one of those!"
|
Would it be to much to presume you can't use it on very hard steel?
|
Never said I hated them, they have thier place. I would hate to have shelled out 40K for a bike (not me, some other IDIOT) and come to find out the hole is all wallowed out from using a tool incorrectly
|
what is an uni-bit?

And yes I do own 2, but I also have a complete drill index |
I don't know what it is, but I think I know what you're talking about, just because he uses the same thing all the time on that show. Is it like a, uh, "stepped" bit, without the spiral design that normal drill bits have?
ahhh, looks like I was right, that's exactly what I was thinking about. yeah, he (the guy on that show) uses that all the time, and usually it looks pretty forceful. |
oh! so that is a a unibit. I always wondered what that thing was called. They use it like mad on OCC. Perosnally i think Jesse James makes better bikes but oh well.
I want a set of Reemers and a nice drill press. Along with a HAAS CNC lathe and Mill. |
What pisses me off is seeing a tool used as a crutch for LEGITAMITE fabrication!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like the idiots haven't figures out how to mask a frame off before Powder Coating and have to grind all the bearing recesses before assembly@ |
