I know i'm at a real auto parts store when I see a couple parts car sitting there stripped bare and as mentioned earlier the people know where everything is.

I use to like the NAPA around here, I swear it looked the same for the last 20 years. However recently it changed hands and was remodeled to compete more with the autozone type places. I like the old employees and atmosphere better.

The NAPA here took over a chain of old really well run parts houses. They didnt change them much, just added a accessories isle. They are still awesome for parts.
I have another local store that ROCKS, there is a whole isle of fasteners and the counter guys will actually look up parts IN BOOKS to cross reference and what not... |

If those are the criteria, I don't think there are any "real" auto parts places around here.
