Did anybody just see the race? Barrichello dominated the entire race, and at the last second he just moved aside and let Schumacher win. Talk about a team player. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/Wow1.gif

its 4 days after and i still cant believe what ferrari did...i never thought F1 races were corrupted.....but seeing that...it just makes me sad...

That left the same feeling in my chest as when I found out that an old girlfriend of mine was cheating on me... :dontgetit:

At least Schumacher gave the trophy to the guy who deserved it. He's probably running out of storage space anyway. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I wouldn't say that F1 is corrupted. They just happen to be a little more team oriented than most autosports (Ferrari is just viciously team oriented). There is usually a strategy behind what they do. Maybe they want Shumi to have another dominating season like he did last year? I didn't catch that race so I didn't hear any of the commentary to find out more. The thinking may have been that the chances of Barrichelo having a winning season like Shumi are pretty slim. (not to bust on Barrichelo- but in reality there just aren't any drivers out there that are as naturally talented as Schumacher) Schumacher is just the safe bet in any race he's in. Barring mechanical failure or a wreck the odds are in his favor- it may not be fair but it is a fact of life at this point.

didnt see it. dont really watch the nascrap channel anymore.

But, be it a team player thing or being "asked" to, I dont really care. Id be happy just to be racing.

i saw something similar ealier in the year in the WRC. Where Collin McRae showed up late to decide starting positions, and was penalized by starting first. His teammate, looked like he had no other choice, gave up his position to start first and clear the road somewhat for Collin. Again, Id be happy just being able to drive them things.

Yeah, he got about 6 extra points for getting first. Even though he's WAY ahead of everybody those 6 points could be the difference if he has some problems later in the season.

I've been following F1 since the 70's religiously & I've never seen it that blatant this early in the season. Those who watch it & those that attend just feel like we've been RIPED OFF. If they're going to do it at least be a bit more discreet.Thank you..I'm glad my focus is in the A.L.M.S. series. No bull **** racing...CHECK IT OUT...

The end kind of sucked, but other than that it was a good race.

It was an amazing race race with a ton-o-passing & loads of action, but unfortunately the only thing that will be remembered in the future is the Ferrari **** Up...
