On wedensday I was fortunate enough to get invited along to Calder park raceway here in Melbourne Australia where the guys from zoom magazine were gathering info and pictures for 4 upcoming feature stories.

The 1st story is a feature on the Guru Racing Dogboxes,(www.gurumotorsports.com) the journalist went out onto the circuit track at Calder (not the thunderdome were some of the pics were taken) in each of the cars in the pic above. a 1st gen 20b powered sports sedan, S4 20b, S1 13b BP improved production car, and Simon Evans' WRX rally car.

The 2nd story was a feature on the Guru Racing improved production car of Rohan Ambrose. The front Running car runs a 13b BP with quad throttle body fuel injection and buts out over 300HP at the rear wheels.

The 3rd story is of the red s4 that is powered by a Autostyle built 20b with Guru Dogbox, and is fully road legal!! (except the slicks it was running on the day)

this car puts out in excess of 500rwHP and was awesome on the track! when in the thunderdome for the photo shoot the driver was doing 7500RPM launches which were again awesome!

The last Story was on Simon's WRX which on the day turned the road circuit into a rally targa style circuit!!

Another highlight of the day was seeing 3 different generations of Rotor "Guru" in Rohan Ambrose (Guru racing/Autostyle), Anthony Rodrigeus (Maztech) and Larry Kogge (L.K. Tuning).

Many thanks to Rohan from Guru motorsports for inviting me along! and thanks a special thanks too Glen the photographer who let me take many pics when he was doing the shoots and letting me basically get in his way if I had too!

the kit is a mix of a few aussie kits.... the front bar is a custom version of a group "c" front bar the side flares are "club car spec" and the rear spoiler is a from a car road style kit.. There class dosent allow them to run bigger wings than that!

Thumbs up

I second the bodykit question on the 1st Gen. It really is one of the better looks that I have seen.
