newly mint |
i got my 90 na for 2500.. i had 100,000 mile but is otherwise mint (besides one or two dents) so anythnig above 3500 sounds like to much
it all depends on who its being sold to, rotorheads wont pay that much for it, but theres a chance that someone else will
back in 99 i got my 88 GXL for 2500 bone ass stock with original paint lookin sweet. interior was in dope condition too...
I payed 4000 for my 89 GTU, and it had 37500 ORIGINAL miles. Your 87 had better be a special rig to command 4-5 grand.

I think everyone here has a working sunroof, good brakes, and they're **** shouldn't be smoking. I got my 90 NA in "great" condition for $800, motor sucked. No seriously, sounds like you have almost the most base model second gen around. EVEN IF, the body was perfect, new motor, lo lo lo lo mileage. 4-5K is pushing it. But if you can find some idiot teenager, who knows? I think I'd be lucky to get 5-6K out of my 90 turbo, and its been pretty much rebuilt from the ground up...EVERYTHING, LOOKS IMMACULATE. That's mods and all. Definitely spent more on it than I'd be able to sell it for. I've seen heavily modded T2's go for $6K-$7K. Here in Oklahoma. There are actualy crackheads wanting $8K-$9K for 89-91 verts, bone stock, original motor. They think because the car only has 40k-70k miles its worth something. |
Those crackheads aren't restricted to Oklahoma, unfortunately. I saw quite a few S5 'verts that the people thought were pretty ******* special like that. 8-9 grand MY ASS!

People pay ALOT of money for convertibles, at least the book value of them has been going up! I can get more for my convertible then I could for a TII if I had one.
I got my 87 t2 for 1800 with a real good int and a really good body
I bet if I tried, I could ask $8000 or so, and get at least $7000 for my vert, might not sell right away, but who knows
