[quote name='Cheers!' date='Aug 17 2005, 11:59 AM']Didn't you know those injector pumps are big dollars? They pressurize Diesel up to something like 2000 psi. You can even get them upgraded for even higher psi.

I already knew how much they were, I was just edumacating the masses. I have been to WOODWARD GOVERNOR school in Ft. Collins Colorado. I was also a Diesel Tech in the Navy https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Not to rag on ya after you've had a rough day, but aren't you the guy who's always going on about doing basic maintenance on RX-7's before you start modding them?

So how come you let a basic maintenance item on your truck leave you stuck on the side of the road? Huh? Huh?!

banzaitoyota 08-18-2005 05:13 AM

I did do basic maintenance, truck had a new fuel filter earlier this year, last year new fuel filter and lift pump.

Well now that is peculiar. Is your fuel tank full of rust?

Yes it is, which is why I am dissecting the old filter Friday and dropping the tank. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif

If its one place I dont take shortcuts its in preventive maintenance, which is why this caught me by surprise. I also only buy my Diesel Fuel from ONE source, and thay verified the tank quality. I buy direct at the Distributors pumps at his Terminal complex (Another reason this shouldnt have happened)
