since the starion is pretty much done for after the deer accident last friday, I've been thinking about a SOLID 4WD daily driver now, no more car stuff in winter. Anyway, I like to surf and i need a nice summer car, but something that can also rip it up in winter.

Does anyone know about CJ's ? im looking at a 1983 CJ-7 .yellow 128k , hardtop, new wheels, I think it has a light bar, its a 6 cyl and manual. Guys asking 1700 OBO, is this a good deal or what ? anything I should check for other than the obvious rusting and stuff ?

thanks guys

I know a couple guys that have 'em. One is a CJ just about as old as the one you're looking at. The other guy had some head work done to a 4.0 in a Cherokee. Parts are easy to get, and the price seems fair for a reasonably solid vehicle.

That's a damn good price depending on the shape, I've got mine up for sale for $5k right now, but it's had a shitload done to it.

There's a guy down the street building a show samurai with a big ass v8 on a ladder-frame chassis. The thing is practially a monster truck, it's pretty sweet.
