Well we all know of the "Fast And The Furious".

We all know how every kid in the world acted after it came out.

Now we have another movie to deal with "Biker Boyz" I beleave its called.

I myself have been riding motorcycles since I was 16 (I'm 26 now) and know very well the power of these machines .

Every year some kid trys to be a hot shot, and goes out and buy's a brand new GSX-R or Ninja etc for his first bike.

I dont want to make this a long story, so im sure you can put two and two together and realize what happens.......Death or a vegtable!!!

Now about this movie.

I believe its about a bunch of guys that go out and race, and do these tricks we all know about that are done on motorcycles.

Standing on the tank (christ air), doing a wheelie, sitting on the tank with your legs stradled over the front wind screen (high chair) etc

I admit i myself have done some crazy ****. But this over years of ridding and practice.

With this movie, it becomes "Monkey see, Monkey Do". And im affraid that many young rookie ridders are going to go out to buy a bike, to be part of the "bike gang" just like there is the asian scene of cars, and do all this crazy **** not knowing the pure power that is in that little throttle.

I don't want to preach forever here so.........If anyone considers buying a crotch rocket, please be carefull. Wear leather (trust me it works!)

Learn the bike, make it a part of you before you do any 100mph tricks and ****.

Yea, the movie probably will inspire many young people to get a bike and "mod it" :smirk: lol. But, maybe the movie itself won't be too bad.. let's hope. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I personally have to agree with Shawn.

I have been riding and racing bikes since I was a sperm and have had my share of fun and bad expierences happen. To do these things takes years of practice and physical demand, and an open track policy, not on the I405.

I had a close expierence on my CBR about 4 1/2 years ago and the scars still wont go away, but I'll still have fun and be safe no matter where the place. Phinsup can agree to my ability and knowledge cause he's just as awesome on his GSXR.

Phinsup and I have also been doing a good friend of mine website, Pauly of Las Vegas Extremes and he totally agrees with the safety and people pointing the finger at him cause he's been doing this for a long time and making movies at it for a while now.

Its Hollywood, ment for show, and I personally dont think that Kid Rock can really do a wheelie on his Harley as Laurence Fishburne can do any of the tricks that are in this movie. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/moon.gif

whats unfortunate is that all the bikes are so nuts now, if someone wants to learn they'll probably buy a 600 which isn't really too smart an idea. Almost everyone I come into contact with will say something like "only a 600" as if a 600 isn't fast. I guess its the whole culture where anything smaller than a 900 isn't cool. My opinion, everyone that wants to ride a sports bike should have to ride a ninja 500 for at least a period of one year.

I don't feel sorry for anybody that grows a set of brass ones after watching another stupid movie. Less people I have to battle with for a parking spot at the ******* mall.

Not saying that I was a great kid, or that I have grown to be any kind of model citizen... But I really hate this generation of little fucktards. When I was young there were rules... They seem to have done away with that all together...

Let them be retarded. Just stay out of the way and hope they can control the ******* wheelie when your kid is crossing the street. Did I mention that I really HATE stupid people?

You know what sux.. I always wanted a bike.. Now If I get one every one will say, .. "Oh you're trying to be like the guys from the Movie huh?" Thats alright.. **** em.. I know my limits and I don't wanna get killed on a bike, I just love to ride...

ive always wanted a hayabusa but was talked down by a friend of mine who races bikes and has been on 1 for 30 years

75 Repu 01-21-2003 11:47 AM

Yeah I think a 600 or 750 would be more than enough for me.. I am not gonna ever top out theat bitch anyways, so why pay more for it..and risk losing control..

bikes have been increasing in popularity since the fast and the furious, mainly because of the asian gang in that movie that had some. About 90% of the ricers I know have a bike just for the summer, and yes this summer we had one friend hospitalized for a long time because of an accident.

I myself am building a 92 katana from scratch teaching myself to respect the bike so i dont lose all my hardwork, even though im just going to wind up selling it onc eit's built (bought it for $650 disassembled woo)
