Has anyone hosted a america's army lan game before? I have a server networked to my pc through a network, and then the onboard nic in my pc is wired into another network for the cable, long story but it makes sense trust me.
No matter whether i host from my game server or this computer, neither one can see the others game. Ive tried everything i can think of and i have a lan party at 9 tonight! Now if i load up good ol half life on the game server, no ******* problems. I've hosted AA as both the default local ip (127.0.0.1) and as its network ip (192.168.0.1) and nothing. I have full network compliance in any other game and in windows. The game server has Windows XP on it, and im specifying the IP under alternate. Thnx for any help! |
Mmmm...I love LAN parties.
Honestly, you're not going to believe this, but running the "setup a home or small office network" wizard in My Network Places solves 99.9% of networking problems. Try it and see what happens. |
you just made my back shiver....lol
I've done that, its only AA that is having the problem, everything else works just fine. |
I'm sure there's an AA FAQ. Check it out maybe?
